A Play on Jealousy, Depicting the Shape of His Teeth.

 

His teeth bruise

ever so slightly

where my skin reaches shoulders and hair dares not speak...

His arms, fold, like legs in heaven, and my ankles

dissect

this thought with jealousy

for who would notice me

in the midst of such perfection?

I'm possible, impossible

traded

and gone,

a bruise once forgotten and deciphered

in a family Christmas card that sits above a fireplace

I'll

never see.

He snaps, a little,

like popsicles and candy necklaces I once enjoyed

when summer held me beyond the dishonesty of youth

and barefoot burning asphalt decides my direction

but I'm only the marks

left behind

from his

heaven sent teeth.

the image, there, is fantastic. i pictured candy necklace pieces flying everywhere. :)

this IS different for you, but subtly. it's still very sensual, but it's even more raw. and more abstract than usual, but then the imagery towards the end is really in your face.
