KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK, I got up and walked to the door. It was Will. “What’s up?” I asked, “not much, just wanting to hang out” Will responded. I invited him inside and booted up the tv. I slumped down on the couch. I grabbed a controller and handed Will another. We played for a few hours until the sun went down, and fog crept into the night. The tv powered off. Will turned to look at me, seeing if I had shut off the tv. The remote was in the other room. “Maybe an electrical issue” I thought, but nothing else turned off. The lights flickered. Then, there was a knock on the door. The lights stopped flickering and went back to normal. My heart was pounding against my chest. I looked out the peep hole; no one was there. “Who’s here?” Will asked, “I don’t know” I responded, cold sweat running down my forehead. The lights flickered off, and we were plunged into darkness. “Buddy, what the heck is going on!” Will said. My name is Buddy. I tried to flick on the lights, but had no luck. Then there was another knock. I slowly crept towards the door. I jumped when the tv suddenly turned on. I stared for a moment. “Amber alert! Amber alert!”. Someone knocked on the door again, but it was louder. BANG! Something banged on the door, and it cracked. I stepped back, tripped over Will’s foot, and fell down. “Let me in,” said a staticky voice. I got back up and walked into the kitchen. I opened the drawer and grabbed a bread knife. BANG! The door shot across the living room. Our patio light had turned off, and all that was out there was fog. “I seee yooo-ooo-ou" said a staticky voice behind me. I turned, and all I saw was a black figure bring down their unhinged, toothy mouth upon me. CRACK!

Chapter 2- Thalassophobia I woke up in my bunk. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth; I was ready for work. I walked over and woke Rebecca. “Five more minutes, Autumn” Rebecca groaned. We walked to the cafeteria. “I can’t wait till we drill for some oil today” Rebecca said sarcastically. I walked out onto the deck; it was raining hard. Strong winds tugged at my clothing. I had been assigned to go into a pod and check out the oil spot before we started drilling. The pod was cramped and was attached to the ship like an elevator. “Best of luck in this weather, Autumn” Rebecca said at the dashboard of the pod. I put on a jacket and said, “kinda sucks they chose me for this task”. I hopped in and closed the door behind me. I plopped down on the small bench. BRRR! The pod began to descend. the pod shuttered but I didn’t think much of it. SNAP! The pod leaned forward. “AAAH!” I yelled as I slammed into the window. SNAP! The pod fell and I slammed my head against the roof. BANG! We had hit the bottom. I shuttered; I was spooked. CRACK! I looked up, the window had cracked. “Oh no! F###, why did I agree to go in this weather!?” I yelled. I paced around for about a minute in the two feet of space I had. SLAP! I looked up; there was a blood stain on the glass. I walked towards the window and peered out. SMASH! A hand slammed through the glass and grabbed my face. CRUNCH! I yelped in pain, it had crushed my head. Water poured in, slamming me into the bench. SNAP! I gasped in pain. The last thing I saw was something crawling through the window
Girl killed in a failed oil expedition Autumn Parks was killed in a flooded pod that broke many of her bones. Chapter 3- Cleirthrophobia I parked in front of the lab. I walked in and asked Mrs. Haja, “What’s going on? I heard we were starting a new experiment”. “Yes, we are experimenting with grow hormones, go to room 208” she said. “Hey, Mr. Hung,” said a guy in a lab coat. I walked over, they had vials of growth hormones and a mouse. “You came just in time” he said, injecting the mouse with a syringe. The mouse struggled, then went limp. The guy walked over and shook my hand. “Were trying to make bigger animals in order to feed more mouths, but sadly this mou-” he said stopping at the table. The mouse was gone. BRRRR! The lights turned off. I slowly stepped out the room. CRACK! The guy was sent hurling into me; his stomach was sliced open. I ran into Mrs. Haja as I was trying to escape to my car. “What’s wron-” she couldn’t finish her sentence. A furry claw stretched out of the vent and sliced into her neck and lifted her up. I ran into a janitor’s closet, locking the electric door. BANG! Something heavy banged against the door. The door sparked. BANG, BANG, BANG! It dented the door. Silence, it was quiet. I stopped hyperventilating. I got up and tried to open the door; it wouldn’t budge. BANG! I jumped, spilling chemicals everywhere. Sparks hit the chemicals, lighting it. FWOOSH! The entire closet caught on fire. “PLEASE SOMEONE HELP MEEE-” I screamed with my last breaths before collapsing. Local lab burnt to the ground, what happened?
Chapter 4- Phasmophobia CRASH! I woke up, rubbing my eyes. I walked into the kitchen and stared at my glass of water that had been shattered on the floor. I grabbed a broom and swept it up. I plopped down on the couch and popped open a soda. I turned on some toons and began nodding off. RING RING RING RING! I woke up. “Hello?” I said into the phone. Nothing but static. I slammed the phone back into its port. I clenched my fists and stormed back to the couch. This time I sat in my massage chair and turned it on. SLAM! The chair buckled on top of me. “#### #####” I yelled, shoving the chair back into place. I brushed myself off and said, “I knew I should've returned that damn thing!”. I chugged the rest of my soda and went upstairs for the bathroom. When I walked in it was warm and misty. I shrugged and guessed I left the hot water running or something. FLUSH! I walked over to the sink to brush my teeth and saw something in the mirror, “Join me in hell, James”. “No, no no no!” The memories were coming back; she was back. I grabbed my PTSD pills and ate two of them to drown out the memories. I sighed in relief. I walked downstairs and slumped down at the diner table; there were two chairs, one for me, and one for her. I slammed my hand on the table. I looked up and saw a ritual symbol. I gasped and stood up. The fan above me began to sway. The ritual glowed a dark red. “Die” a heard her whispered. The fan fell, still spinning. “AAAAGHHH-”. Man killed in a freak accident James home was killed by a fallen ceiling fan, this is why you tighten bolts. Chapter 5- pursuitophobia I slowly walked home through the forest; why did my parents sign me up for a school so far away? I pulled out my phone to see what my friends were up to. “F### no service!” I yelled. CRUNCH! A tree branch snapped behind me. “Jake, I told you not to follow me home” I said; silence. “Hm, strange” I whispered. I continued walking home. SCRAPE! I turned, claw marks were on a tree. “Dave?” I asked. “I thought your mom took your knife?” I said. “Guys, quit messing with me” I yelled. Nothing. Sweat ran down my forehead. My palms got clammy, and my heart started beating. I walked over and checked around the tree. Nothing was there, was I going crazy? I sighed and continued walking, not noticing what was in my peripherals. CRUNCH! I heard leaves behind me. I turned; nothing was there. “Hello? Anyone there?” I said, my breath had become unsteady. I picked up the pace, checking behind me every now and then. BOOM BUM, BOOM BUM! My heart was pounding. I tripped. “Yowch!” I yelled, my knee looked like hamburger meat. I stood up and winced in pain. I continued to walk despite the pain. A cold breeze rustled through the trees. I shivered; it was the middle of the summer. SNAP! A tree branch behind me had been broken. I just stared at the broken branch in disbelief. “I am okay, no one is following me” I thought to myself. I heard breathing behind me. I turned. BOY FOUND DEAD IN THE FOREST Billy Gound was found ripped apart, a wild animal must’ve attacked him. His friends, Jake and Dave found him. some people believe it is the old folk tale of the dark lizard that took him. Chapter 6- Tentaculophobia I woke up, a water droplet dripped on me. “Dang it, a leak!” I yelled. I looked around my bunker for a bucket. I placed it under the leaky pipe and went to cook breakfast. I powered on the ventilation, getting fresh air in my claustrophobic bunker. I ate my eggs while I watched some old DVD's. BANG, BANG, BRRR! The ventilation powered off. I opened the vent gate, and hopped in. I slowly crawled through the dusty air ducts. I reached the fan and sighed; it was dented and unusable. I crawled back and grabbed my hunting rifle. I followed the slimy residue on the ground. BANG! The vent grate above me fell open and a black slimy tentacle reached for me. BANG! The tentacle retreated. I crawled back to base, I knew it wouldn’t come back for a little bit, I ate the rest of my eggs and kept my gun close. I walked to my daughter’s room. “hey sweetie” I said as I walked in. She was still asleep, but began to wake up. “Hi mom, I smell food” said my beautiful seven-year-old daughter. “Go get it, Ammy” I said. Eventually night came around and I sent Ammy to bed. I stayed awake with my rifle. I didn’t want to wait for it to come to me, I was going to come to it. I crawled through the vents; years of darkness had honed my eyes to see in the dark. I stepped in a puddle of goop. BANG! I shot straight forward. AEGHUA! I heard from ahead, I had shot it. I walked forward, a black octopus squirmed around on the floor. I pinned it to the ground with my foot and positioned my rifle to its head. “Goodnight” I said. BANG!
Chapter 7- mazeophobia I swung my machete to cut some vines in front of me. “Damn, where are the others” I whispered to myself. A snake slithered past my foot and into the grass. Sweat dripped down my forehead; I’ve been looking for them for hours. I came to an opening; a deer skull sat in the middle. I kept walking, paying it no attention. I tripped into a river and soaked my gear. “Dang it!” I yelped. I stood up and kept walking. I came to a clearing, “wait, wasn’t I just here?” I said, looking at the deer skull. I kept walking and came across the same river I had tripped in. I came back to the clearing somehow, but the deer skull was gone. I walked through the river again. I came back to the clearing and gasped. There was a human skeleton. I ran back to the river, but the rocks were now black. I came back to the clearing again. There was another body, but it had some flesh still on it. I pinched my arm, trying to wake up, but this was not a dream. I ran through the river and came back to the clearing, but the skeletons were now bound to crosses. I ran through the river again and somehow came back to the clearing. There was now five of them -bound to crosses- surrounding a circle on the ground. I stepped closer, and gasped; it was a demonic symbol. I ran to the river with a beating heart and stopped in my tracks. The river was dark red; blood. I came back to the clearing, the deer skull was the only thing there. I blinked and it was gone. I collapsed onto my knees. I was done. Then the deer skull appeared in front of me. I grabbed it and put it on. Man disappears Lonas Buck disappeared into the jungle. The voices told me to leave, but I didn’t, I liked it in here. I sat up, the room turned black. I saw myself, but it wasn’t me. I stepped back and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes and now I was on an empty train. Versions of myself with blacked out faces sat in the chairs. They stared at me and said, “do it”. I sat in a grassy field playing with a tiny kitten. The kitten melted in my hands into a blob and spelled, “do it”. I stood up and walked away, the world began to distort, I was now in a hospital. I stared into a mirror, but there was no one there. It took me a moment to realize that I was back in my room looking at my mirror. The mirror cracked and shattered. I was now laying in my bed staring out the window at the squirrels in the tree. My vision began to blur and I fell through the floor. I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. It was empty, but I was back in reality. “Huh?” I whispered. My ears rang. A nurse walked in. “Oh, you’re awake!” the nurse said. “Where am I?” I asked gently. “You suffered brain damage in a car accident, sweetie” the nurse said. I rubbed my head. They had wrapped my head in bandages. “Ouch, but where am I?” I asked. “You’re at Dake hospital” the nurse said. The nurse came over and pushed my head back down onto my pillow, “you should rest, your brain isn’t fully recovered” she said.
Chapter 9- Macrophobophobia I grabbed my mop and broom from the janitor's closet; I was ready to clean this school. I walked into the first classroom and tidied it. I stopped at a drawing on the wall, “this is Timmy”. It was a long slender creature with a head shaped like a diamond. “What is wrong with kids nowadays” I said. I walked into the hall and stopped and stared. There was a red balloon slowly floating towards me. It had big black words that said, “TIMMY”. I blinked and it was gone. The hallways were ungodly long, not as long as they were during the day. I finally reached the next classroom. I did the usual, mop, sweep, straighten out the desks. POP! I had bumped into a balloon. “Ow, my ears” I said rubbing my ears. I stepped back into the hall, but the lights were off. BANG, BANG, BANG! Something was coming closer. I shined my flashlight; nothing was there. The lights flickered on, and the walls were covered in drawings. My eyes adjusted. The hallway in front of me was still dark. CRACK, SNAP, RRRR! Something was moving out of the darkness. A pale creature with a diamond head stretched out. “Run” a voice said in my head. I began to run, but I felt so slow. The hallway began to elongate, making the exit farther away. CRUNCH! I was grabbed. It slowly dragged me into the darkness. Poor janitor A school janitor was found crammed inside a locker, sadly he was long dead.
Chapter 10- trypanophobia I stepped into the doctor’s office. “Please sit down, miss, we’ll start soon” the doctor told me. “Miss,” he told me as I sat down, “You’re doing a great thing donating blood”. He strapped me down. He slowly attached the blood pressure monitor to me. Then he grabbed the needle. He slowly injected it into my elbow. “Now start squeezing your fist, Ma’am” he told me. Then a nurse stepped in and told the doctor something. “I’ll be right back” he said. He walked out. A few minutes passed. I was beginning to feel lightheaded. I stared at the door. The doorknob went down, but the door didn’t open. I heard the doctor struggling to open the door. The needle kept stealing more blood. I now had a headache. The doctor began banging on the door trying to get it to open. My vision began to blur. My head was spinning. The bag of blood exploded from too much blood. My breaths became shaky, and the world began melting around me. My vision went black. I woke up in a hospital bed. Freak accident A patient was almost killed while donating blood, because the door locked, causing panic.
Chapter 11- scopophobia I woke up in the middle of the night. I slowly walked around the ruins of the town. I stared at the sky just to make sure They weren’t there. I foraged for food, only finding a banana. The air was cold. I broke into a gas station and looked for snacks. I sighed and left with empty hands. The lamps flickered, exposing me to the world. I jumped into a bush. I covered my eyes and whimpered with fear. I eventually left the bush and continued to wander the ruins of the town. I found a half-eaten muffin and devoured it. I stared into a puddle, and I noticed the shape in the sky. I jumped into a house and ducked under a bed. I waited for It to rip the house apart, but nothing happened. I stepped outside. A black tentacle grabbed me and pulled me into the sky. “No, No, No, NOOO!” I yelled as It pulled me into a cloud. Doomsday 19#4 The day the cre##ures inv#aded th# #l#net. Th#y came fr## t#e s##. Chapter 11- Submersionphobia I hopped off the ladder and shined my flashlight at the tiny tunnel that I would soon crawl through. I got on my stomach and pulled myself into the tunnel. I began crawling through. BOOM! I heard thunder. I kept crawling. DRIP, DROP! I came across a crack in the rock. I kept crawling. I soon came in to a small area, big enough for me to crouch in. I took in a deep breath and got back on my stomach and kept trudging forward. Suddenly I was wet; there was a centimeter of water built up on the ground. “Huh?” I said as the water began to rise. I kept crawling. The water kept rising, and I began to panic. I couldn’t turn around; the tunnel was too narrow and short. I began to crawl faster, but the water began flooding in faster. COUGH COUGH! I had inhaled some water. I raised my head a little and kept going. the water was now up to my shoulders and chin. The tunnel got skinnier. I tried to push myself through but got stuck. “HELP!” I yelled when I realized I was stuck. The water reached my mouth. I struggled, but it was no use. The water had reached my nose now. I held my breath. My vision got blurry. I was done for. Bad luck A pair of cave divers went through a cave just to find a decomposed body of a man.
Chapter 12- Aichmophobia I plucked a rose from a bush and walked up to Marigold. She had orange hair and deep green eyes. I handed her the rose but it poked me. “Ouch” I said staring at the tiny drop of blood forming on my finger. “What’s wrong?” Marigold said after she grabbed the rose. “Just poked myself” I said, showing her the cut. “Oh, I think I have band-aids at my house. Come on, I’ll get one for you,” Marigold said. I stepped into her house and we stopped cold; the window was shattered, and a rock was on the floor. “Man, now my dad has to pay for a new window” Marigold said. I was bare foot, so I stayed away. She grabbed a band-aid and handed it to me. I put it on and turned towards the door. “Dad!” Marigold yelled up the stairs, but there was no response. “Dad?” Marigold said again. “Come on Jaiden, we have to check up on my dad” Marigold told me. I avoided the glass and followed Marigold to her dad’s room. We gasped; he was in bed, but the sheets were dark red above his chest. Marigold took a shaky step back towards the door. “Who would do this in the light of day?!” Marigold said. “I would” a husky voice said behind us. I don’t remember what happened, but we were now in the neighbor’s house. Glass shards were stuck in my feet. Marigold was sitting on the couch next to me; tears in her eyes. The neighbors had called the police, and sheltered the kids when they escaped.
Chapter 13- Parasitophobia I woke up. I walked into the bathroom and splashed my face with cold water. I blinked and decided to brush my teeth. I brushed my hair and put it into a bun. I walked downstairs and grabbed my phone. I called my friend Emily and told her to come over. “Sure, Juniper, I’ll be there,” Emily said. DING DONG! I walked to the front door. There was a package addressed to me. “Huh? I didn’t order anything?” I said. I opened it, it was a small vacuum-sealed package, that contained a small, black goose egg. “Hm, I am hungry” I said. I grabbed it and put it on the kitchen counter. I opened it and grabbed it; it was like a boiled egg. NOM! I ate it. It tasted kinda funky, but it wasn’t terrible. I gagged; the egg had stopped in my throat. I grabbed a bottle of water and chugged it. I sighed in relief. My phone buzzed, Emily was calling me. “Sorry but I am going to have to cancel, I am not feeling too good, that okay?” Emily said. “Alright, maybe Sunday” I answered. My stomach gurgled, I felt like I was going to throw up. I sat down on the couch and rested my head. I now had a headache and a stomachache. I stood up, but fell to my knees. I threw up, but it was dark red. I shook in pain; my stomach was in a lot of pain. I was able to get up, but my entire body felt horrible. I ran to the bathroom; ready to vomit again. I threw up into the sink, but something long exited. It was black and worm-like, and it crawled down the drain. My mind was hazy. I collapsed onto my bed. I woke up the next morning, birds chirped, I walked downstairs and made myself a cup of coffee. © 2026 bastiaanwheat64Author's Note
