The world knows

Fearing the light that's passed

In the shadows we lurk

But this world just smirks

It knows, 

The to and fro's

While we scurry and hurry

Gently it twirls 

Tilted with mischief

I love this! It reminds me of the stuff that I used to write before I got so caught up in my own personal tos and fros. It has the quality of quiet, but almost laughing observation which I think your personification of the world lends to it.

As far as the flow goes. I think it is good. The only place where I might give a look over is the use of smirks and lurk. I don't really mind it at all, I might even like like it, but if you were looking for something I think that is the place that I would go.
