Lost in time

There was a moment,
Long ago, part of me slipped away,
Now lost in time, a gentle shoulder you offered,
A moment in time, when I thought I mattered,

Throughout the restless years,
Moments slip by, storms of youthfulness,
Lines creep in, as restless stormy nights grow,
Now lost in time, the moments, that gentle shoulder,

I was living in  a space, where thoughts of you engulfed my mind,
Waiting for moments, slowly disappearing, lost in time,
Those moment we once shared, with only you on my mind,
Breathing your air, the air we shared,

Time passed us by, lost long ago
I was lost in your eyes, I looked into my eyes
I could not find myself, "Where was I, Now lost in time"
I had disappeared, everything of me had disappeared,

The moments to embrace, were gone,
Tears flowed freely, salty tears of pain
Arms held out but, nothing was there
Life had disappeared.

WOW. I have wondered at different times in my life if I have lost my identity within the situation or the relationship I was in. It is so common for people to do that - and such a disservice to both involved. Well done.

It is uncanny to see and observe the moment when time gets questioned no rocket science needed. You sit down beside the tree just like Newton and say "What a lovely day" next time you look at time, "Damn I'm late". Is that a vortex of confusion? Did we get transposed into a place where time moves differently. I woudn't know but reading this makes me wonder. The expereince shared here certainly did manage to bring dissociation in between the concept of time and the experience of time.

Oh that unforgiving clock....

I wrote that about 4yrs ago, I look at it now and think how far I traveled in that time. I came across another one I wrote and thought about posting it maybe one day. 4yrs ago was a very confusing time for me. Now I've moved on.
