The Right Question

The Right Question

A Story by Breeanna Champlin

We often ask ourselves if we are worth it. We ask ourselves if people enjoy our company or personality. We worry constantly about the thoughts and feelings of others. We never really stand back and evaluate ourselves to see if we are the people we want to be. We question ourselves through others eyes, so that we may change into the person they want to see. But, in questioning ourselves, we do not as the right questions. The right question is, are we really happy? Are we happy being the person others would like to see us as? Would we be happier just being who we really are? We depend so heavily on others opinions of us, that we tear ourselves apart until we fit the picture others want to see. We are wasting so much precious time hating ourselves and changing.
