the noise behind my eyes

the rumbling in my mind
need be laid to rest

clanging thoughts
banging
bouncing
like canyon echoes
reverberate loudly
in my head

my eyes hear
the noise behind them
so boisterous

sometimes i wonder
if the tapping at my temples
is madness
awaiting to be let in
