A Candle In The Window

was reaching out, long distance, to a friend~~at that time I usually wrote by candle-light.

A candle in the window

                       shining bright... just for thee.

As do~

         the moon and stars above

      burn for us all.

They,

       ... guide us through our storms

       ... brighten the dreams of our days

       ... are there for us...

                           always beaconing...

              there when we need them...

                  ~~ our oldest and dearest friends.

A candle in my window

                              will always burn for you ~~

                        for you are a part of me.

               Always in my

                                 ... thoughts,

                                 ... heart,

                                 ... soul.

                      if ever you are in need of something

                             be it great or small

              whatever, whenever,

                               any season ~~ day or night...

                     the candle will remain,

           burning...

     guiding your way,

                                 to welcome you in..........

                                    to where you are loved,

    to where you are needed,

        and accepted as is.

You are a friend...

                          of yesterday

      today

              tomorrow;

             you are of a candle

                     burning within my soul,

                          your dripping wax

                                 has hardened with mine...

             we're of one ~~ just look for my light.

         We're all candles burning

                 in the window

                        of someone else's storm.
