The silence screams

Nonsensical nothingness

Daggers to the ears

The pain like sugar

Sickly sweet

It drips down

Molasses droplets

They run like rivulets

Across my face

Mixing with the tears

Of loneliness

Shed in vain

Wishes that there were

Someone

Anyone

Anywhere

That cared

But there is nothing

Save for silence
