some famous

a friend of mine passed away recently. this was written for him on that night.

via morning light
his stress cracked from sleep
as monsters damned the night
words into him creeped
up by way of flight
stuck between clouds and a
clear blue sin of sight

he felt the absence of a kiss
retracted from his lips
as a silhouetted sun sank in the sky
he was reminded of who
he needed to miss

something inside him sang
humble breath ended in delight
from before which came a purple pang
of wrong versus right
his motion exploded across the sky
as his body floated downstream
fame finally found within a dream
“almost Ophelia,” the lilies would sing

like Christ alone on a hill
this punctured passion plays by will
an infinity to damn and kill
such life must remain still
