The Nameless.A Poem by bebop278A poem of death, and time's effect on identity. The Nameless. A poem by Kim Mathews. In Life, I was Someone.
When I had Breath, I had a Name. When the sun's warmth streamed down on my Face, My skin felt it. In Death, I am No One. Without Breath, I am the Nameless. All that shines on Me is coldness; yet these Bones don't feel. All I am is a Grave. All that I have is Stone and Wood, and moss covered Bones to be eaten by Time's passage. ~~~~~~~~~ Death is the destroyer of identities, he is the wind and rain that render a tomb stone barren, he is the time that erases those who remember, and puts in their place those who do not. © 2012 bebop278Reviews
