Waringin TreeA Poem by GraybeardWaringin, aka Banyan tree. This is a tanka/pantoum form...
The waringin tree,
a beautiful parasite, wrapped round comely hosts spreads its strangler fig fingers, makes an external death womb. Striking parasite covering up Nature's mistakes, stretching, cocooning, a canvas over a canvas, a reverse chrsyalis. Nature's eraser, cancer curing ugliness washing the canvas with a culling lullabye, soothing painted death bag. Malignant beauty, the waringin masterpiece sings its host to death with strangler figs round the neck, a hand woven closed casket. Stunning sarcoma, this beautiful parasite lays the host to rest, spreads its strangler fig fingers, makes an external death womb. © 2008 GraybeardAuthor's Note
