LaufeyarsonA Poem by GraybeardLoki laughs last
Beneath the Floor of Storm Hall Loki lies,
for Baldr's death by Narfi's entrails bound, with serpent's venom dripping 'tween his eyes, Sigyn's basin pouring out the only sound. Til Naglfar, steered by Hrymr, sets sails upon the Midgard Serpent riled seas, that ship of woe comprised of dead men's nails, to bring Valhalla's greatest to their knees. Then Fenris Grey-wolf's gaping jaws full wide will swallow Odin and the Earth and Sun as Sons of Muspell over Bifrost ride. Woe to the land, for Ragnarok's begun. Then from the Sea of Beasts shall Loki burst and slake upon the world's last breath his thirst. © 2008 Graybeard |
