Well I'm from Pittsburgh so Andy is all over the place...I still regularly go to his uncles scrap yard to recycle:) Being involved in the local art scene, know some of his relatives and cohorts I have never been a huge fan of his art but i have always been a fan of his Ideas and the 15 minutes concept is one of my favorites nicely inked reverence to this! :) I think you may have an INKling of what he was truly about after having read them...

I'm am only peripherally aware of the Andy Warhol phenomenon, so I read your poem with a different approach. Lately I've been noticing other writers who seem desperate "to be published" . . . as if this would be the end-all of why they are writing. This desperation seems to bring only misery/rejection, which dampens the spark that brings one's writing alive, to my way of thinking. All in all, your poem captures the emptiness of seeking for the sake of recognition (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

maybe silence is better, golden as they say...because nothing really new has been said for a long time.
I like the brevity here...and its allowance for us to expand the poem with our own interpretation...
this is art...and i will keep wearing gym shoes, even to the prom...if i could go again.
