Parade of RainA Poem by LE Berrya parable perspective of life
Prancing horses adorned with silver saddles and be-jeweled golden bridles
Go before flowered floats carrying beauty queens and celebrities no one knows Marching band winners of perpetual competition blare music of pageantry Smiling observers line the street taking photos of memories passing them by Not wanting any to ruin a never ending perfection sought as dark clouds appear They hope against what should be understood and the best part will be soon Waiting to hear and see they'll know it when it turns the corner in a minute or a day When the show is over every disappointment will certainly and surely fade Returning to what is real it is realized that rain will fall upon good days and bad While going forth a participant within this parade known as human life.
