A NEW CHARACTER FOR ME.

The story opens with Synn Sinclair and her older sister, Destiny who everybody calls Dessi deciding if they are going to enter their new school with a sizzle or with a bang.

Dessi says, "I vote sizzle because I am wearing my new thong and even though I know it is not permitted to wear our underwear outside of our clothes anymore, I am sure the print of it will be noticed by the ones who care!"

Synn rolls her dark eyes, her nearly black hair stringing in her face with every step, "You always have to be so girly-girl!" Synn darts her eyes at Dessi who glares back at Synn.

Dessi stood defiantly with her hands on her hips until Synn announced, "Almost there!" The bus stops, the doors open for the students to disembark.

"A sizzle it is!" Synn lit a strand of firecrackers and ran away from the bus expecting to hear them pop at any second. Nothing.

Dessi laughed, "So glad we did not go for the bang!" At that instant the firecrackers sizzled and erupted into loud popcorn blasts.

"WHO DID THAT?" the bus driver stood to look for the source. She could smell the strong odor of the powder but all the kids were already off the bus and in the schoolyard. She bent and peered through the clouded windows of the bus, "That NEW girl! SYNN!"
