The Unforgivable SYNNA Poem by ETERNITY
She lies in bed at night
tossing and turning Yeah, she sees the light It does not stop her burning Synn. What kind of name was that? Everybody reprimanded Synn, "If I were you, I would change my name." . F**k them! Yeah, go ahead and change YOUR name, dumbasses. Synn rolled over one last time and fell off the bed. Something crashed into the window by her bed. Synn reasoned it caused her to lose her bearings during her sleep. . She struggled to regain her balance. Damned sleeping pills. They were not strong enough to keep her asleep. They just messed up her equilibrium. . Synn walked cautiously to the window to look out. The crash was loud enough to jolt her out of her sleep. She slowly pulled aside the curtain. . Synn almost lost it. There on the window with its mouth gaped open in a shocked last gasp was a black bat. It must have been diving for something crawling along the ground and its radar did not discern the scenery was a reflection in the window. . Synn felt sudden depression. Not only had she been jolted out of numerous hours of sleep she would never get back, now she had to go outside and clean bat blood and guts off her window. . "The damned thing probably had rabies," Synn thought out loud. . "Get some kind of non porous gloves, neighbor!" a voice yelled from across the way as soon as Synn stepped out on her porch. It was Sydd. . Sydd Euro had moved into the neighborhood within the year and everything turned upside down. . "You should not be yelling across the way at 4 AM, Sydd!" Synn tried to keep her voice at a reasonable level. * * * * "Damn girl!" Sydd jogged across the street, his bare feet jerking with every step on the rocky road, "When are they going to PAVE this damn thing?!!!" . Synn laughed, "Your guess is as good as mine. I have to get ready for work in a little while and here a bat committs spatter-cide against my window!" . With her fingertips, Synn worked a spatula under the flattened and bloody body smeared against her window. . "Thankfully, the window is not broken. You want to stay for breakfast, neighbor?" Synn held up the bloody, rat-like black body on the spatula, torn wings and tiny feet dangling, she winked at Sydd who was doubled over vomitting in the grass, his eyes darting an evil response to Synn as she dumped the corpse into a garbage bag and tied it up at the end.. . "S**t!" Synn realized a smear of bat blood had worked its way onto her sleeve during the scraping off of the bat guts. . "It soaked through the opening between my sleeve and these frigging cheap-a*s gloves!" Synn stared at the tiny bit of bat blood on her skin at the wrist. . Sydd, still wretching, ran over and grabbed Synn's arm, pulling her to his house across the way, Synn dropped the garbage bag holding the bat corpse into the garbage can as she was jerked by it. . "I have warehouse disinfectant! It will kill anything!" Sydd pulled Synn up his front steps, Synn stumbling and tripping, she started laughing. Sydd stopped on his front porch and glared at Synn, . "This is no laughing matter! Rabies can make you go mad and die! There is no cure once you are infected!" Synn tried to force herself to look serious. She burst out laughing again. . Sydd, who had only spoken to Synn a few times before this, decided maybe the rabies were already working on Synn's brain, . "Uh, maybe we shouldn't do this...Uh, YEAH! It wouldn't LOOK PROPER!" . Synn stopped laughing and looked straight into Sydd's eyes, . "Okay, first you want to rescue my life. Now that it might not LOOK PROPER, you don't give a damn about me? SCREW YOU!" Synn jogged back across the way toward her house. . When she reached the top step to her porch, Synn turned and yelled back to Sydd, "YOU CAN FORGET THE BAT-BREAKFAST I WAS GOING TO MAKE YOU!" Synn huffed and jerked her front door open, stomped inside and slammed the door shut. . "Dumb b***h," Sydd muttered, "Try to help a neighbor, dumb a*s Sydd." He decided to find the industrial strength disinfectant and walk it back over to Synn, "Damn those rocks! When are they going to PAVE that road?"
