FREAKA Poem by Bobbie CoelhoPicture the scene: walking int he High Street in Town, when suddenly you become aware that poeple are looking at you and pointing, not caring what you think - how would you feel
Freak
Tell me how long does it take To realise you’re a freak? To be pointed at in the street The people, whispering close by “Is she OK?” Oh, how I wanted to cry! Horrified, you realise they mean you You were never the sort to turn heads Well, now you do You want to hide Losing your pride. Feeling sad all the way home I wish I hadn’t come I know they mean no harm I must develop a tougher skin To prevent people looking in. © 2012 Bobbie CoelhoAuthor's Note
