WatchersA Poem by Bobbie CoelhopoemI can tell by the way you are staring at me With bold, impertinent stare That you wish you were somewhere else And only see me from afar I wonder what you think Or do you simply surmise That I’ve had too much to drink? Or perhaps you see a strange old stick Practising a circus trick Oh how I wish I was, but the truth is you see An enormous task such as this would even make St Jude think And he’d probably retire a broken man with A nervous tic and a constant blink I wish you could see yourselves, I really do If your one brain cell could work pretty quick, you might just have a clue I wish you would get yourself a life One which takes you far from here Or else, please ask - don’t stare! © 2012 Bobbie CoelhoReviews
