X Remember

X Remember

A Poem by outrider6

  Remember

I shall remember thee; thy lovely aurae; of mystery

When south winds blow, 'oer meadows of snow; so cold

When windswept billows sweep; 'oer barley lea

Where windrows sleep, 'tween the sheaves; of gold

I shall remember thee; where once we strolled

When warm rains fall, birthing the rainbow; blue

When led where storm winds flow, to a weeping wold

Where blackthorn blooms, a lingering soul; in limbo

I shall remember thee, when even' bells toll; lonely

When fieldmen winnow, dreams as chaff on the wind; fly

When sundrops grow, 'neath dark skies droll; 'oer barley lea

Where north winds blow, 'neath boreal flame; remains on high

Oh shame, shame on me, how could I lose thee?

Oh pain! Misery 'pon me! Blackly ignorant, though I be.
