Spare tiresA Story by bjornneI'm not sure if this a short story, or a really long poem, either way, its just something i found lying around from past attempts at stories.
There she was stuck on the side of the road. Stranded with a flat tire, it was a long lonesome highway. The kind where every star hugged the night-sky, and from below, you could watch the universe coyly bat her eyes at you. For miles the side of the road was barren, lost to humanity , but found by nature. It was a wonder i narrowly missed her amongst the great expanse of nothing. Pulling over to the side of the road, i could see the worry and tears flee from her face like two lovers running from home. A smile rose to her lips, I changed her flat, she kissed me on the cheek with a quick thank you she left.
2 miles down the road, and i feel the car drag. One of the tires gives, and i can't help but look up and smile, for that was my only spare, so i guess i'll be alone with the universe for a while.
