Chaotic Thoughts

My thoughts are jumbled and chaotic

The day’s events have left me confused

Time after time, love passes me by

Why am I not like everyone else?

What I think will make me happy never lasts

I question my state of mind

Part of me says I should leave

The other part is confused

Can I say that that part just doesn’t want to be alone?

Or maybe that’s the part that’s still in love

Maybe that part really just can’t let go because the feeling is so strong

Or perhaps I’ve grown accustomed to being with him

Now that I think about it, I’ve felt this way before

With the one from before

But the circumstances were different

Is the feeling really the same?

Or are there just similarities?

As I sit here alone with the chaos of my mind

I question everything that is us

I question everything you ever did and said

I question it all

But no answers are forthcoming

Wow! This is sad, but very beautifully written! Your poems are simply amazing! But it is a very sad thing when you realize you're not as in love with someone as you thought the day before. That's happened to me recently. :(
