The veil of light

From the darkness within me,

an eerie glow that blinded courage,

lurked out like the hunter of night.
And I feared that I was the prey.




Maimed, I stumbled towards a bright light.

The purge pulled me from my being,

yet aiding me to agnize,

that the salvation I longed for,
was the one that cast the dark shadows of grey.
