It's Toxic

Seeping into every crack

in my heart.

Melting the love

for anybody else.

Every word spoken

between us.

The car rides

alone.

The bus rides

together.

I remember

that sunrise together, but you

were asleep

Just as it broke

over the far away hill.

We stole 

a few minutes

after the boat trip

just to talk

It was my favorite time

to be with you.

Lunch and Dinner

together.

Now what am I supposed to do

with all this toxin seeping in

through the cracks 

in my heart.
