The Path Alone

The Path Alone

A Poem by Moth Phoenix

Arms out by my side, and my eyes open wide.

Bleeding these tears that keep me alive, I feel the aches and pains.

My head is numb and my mind speaks a thousand words,

don’t release me from my chains. I sit here and think, ponder, and tell,

while I walk the black forest, and just wander.

An endless path I see no end, but a light, a light over the horizon,

one more push cause I’m still tryin.

The tress are black and they hug me close, another mark is that I’ve chose.

I drink the moon in and listen to the wind, but somehow I can’t, can’t understand my thoughts.

I scream, but nothing comes. I talk but only lies escape.

Am I horrible? Beaten down  and bloody?

No honey, wake up, and learn you’re worth more.

I cut

bleed

cry

but sometimes

I…

    just…

             want…

  to…

die…

Wow... I've been here. I sit alone in the darkness and look up at the sky a lot more than I'd like to admit. I know this feeling all too well.

But , you have to keep fighting. You have to keep trying. Yes. You ARE worth it.❤
