An Unknown Feeling

A poem about a peculiar feeling that probably I don't know when and why it started......!!!

An Unknown Feeling 

There's this unknown feeling stirring wild inside,

Don't know to quench the fire its causing,

The unknown feeling causing intense pain,

Neither words nor actions can describe it,

The effect is affecting the heart,

Laying in a state of bafflement,

The heart uncertain to choose with either one,

The feeling of gaining and losing at the same time,

A heart filled with emotions that can't be told apart,

Hiding the heart before it shatters into million pieces,

Hiding the heart from this peculiar feeling.

This piece is an honest expression of the 'overwhelm' of feelings that can leave us "blizzard-blind." It describes a phenomenon that is at once impressive but obscure - can't tell exactly what it is. Though "it is," never the less.

An interesting concept here...

I guess sometimes feelings can arise as if from nowhere and take centre stage...

This make me want to ask the question: where do you think it really came from? Mindfulness of emotions etc...:)

Anyways, this is a thoughtful poem and I liked the line:
