Winter

Winter

A Poem by jonnyboit

Winter,

your frosty fire remains tingling

my fingertips as sunshine soars

sunnily overhead. A barren wasteland

lingers in the lush of forest green

Flowers begin to bloom, yet remain

encapsulated in their frozen tundra

of a lifeless earth.

Floral essence once smelt with the warming skies

vanished with violent fury,

Summer soars yet I still remain

in the deary state of winter.

The imagrey is amazing and paints a picture of the emotional esscence of the lifeless season that most can relate towards. However, why title it just Winter? Because at the end, the reference to "winter" means or means to me an emotional state.

Also, the word "sunnily" is awkward and should be replaced with a much stronger word.

Otherwise, beautiful poem. I love the feeling of winter, the deadest hours of the earth is always an inspirational write and can be fun to describe, or dreary, depends on the person.
