Angel SallyA Poem by Captain GoldpantsI met an angel called Sally she eased my pain
We swam in the sea
at midnight in moonlight
the circling gaze
of lighthouse Byron
caressed the body
of the gauzy siren
She, in fishnets
me thinking of kismet.
At Motel Nowhere
with no canvas at all
she pulled
'Flowers of the Bay'
off the wall
I painted her front
on the back
In the morning
the bird was flown
To the mystery sea
I hasten to swim
but for the sting of salt
upon my back did hurt
from the wounds unknown
like the maul
of a tiger
A lady said to me
as I left the water:
'ere love, best put on your shirt
and,
I'm going to
lock up my daughter
