Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

A Poem by Captain Goldpants
"

When love, however painful, transcends the ordinary, egoic and physical

"

You disarm me in the mystery

our bodies spark
steel on steel
you cut me

Chimera's malice transacting
pain in lieu
Standing between us
taxing our happiness

And then apart in the beauty
you hold me
as I hold you
watching your back

When you are fragile and withdrawn
In your safe
tower of ivory
to protect you
this, my truth

destiny fulfilling
love transcending
flesh and blood anchored
to this mortal coil

The bridge
like a rainbow
crossed
Mundanity that shackles
our corporeal selves

Our archetypes, our myth, together forever
our soul journey
hand in hand
in the imaginary

so pure
so bittersweet
my body aches
but my soul jubilates

the delicious pleasure, the darkest pain
suffer and endeavour
we walk together
and we know

as we learn fear to courage
lion heart vanguarded
no rainbow lives
without sun and rain

Very good poem, lovely images and the last lines are so true..no rainbow lives without sun and rain... the ying and tang of everything.. like your poem.. very righteous.

Stunning ending to this work. What a wonderful piece of writing. An expression of what I can only call the Universal search united as One...great work, very uplifting even in its moments of trouble and pain. Thank you for sharing. A sheer delight, this early morning.
Light,
Siddartha
