Divine Intervention

bring me a sign
open the ears of my heart
fill them with knowledge Divine
to make a new start

the desires of my heart magnified
your empathy a microscope
focused in on my life
right beside me you are living, breathing hope.

the door was open to any man
begging desperately like a child pounding a father's chest
you held me so tightly with your overpowering hands
told me to take a rest.

falling asleep in Your arms
i dreamt of a peace i never let be true,
protection from pain and any harm
when i woke up i lost all understanding of why i had resisted You.

now i am content
to stay cuddled in your arms, under the wings of your protection
until the day that you send
a man meant to have my deep affection.
