Snow, Rain & Tears

I'm so cold

& even though it sickens him

everytime

I let you hold me close

show me warmth

& even though he knows

I'm not his

he still treats me like a queen

the one he wants me to be

I realize

I love his eyes

the way they look at me

& see the true me

stripping away who I'm not

but here is a problem

I hate his lies

they kill me inside

its burning

my heart to ashes

makes me hate

makes me weak

makes me want to turn away

& run

running again

because I can't stand to pretend

to love someone I don't

& to hate someone

I love

I'm running again

I'm so cold

my tears of reason

now frozen

in my eyes

 

I think I'm blind
