Two minds coming together

Two minds coming together

A Poem by blueeyeddevel

Written August 23rd 2008. Me and a friend were just adding stuff to this poem. I came up with the beginning sentence, then we just kept bouncing off of each other adding to it.

"

When we put our heads together

A tear drop soaks her skin on a warm early morning,
Her fear falls away as the sun takes away the shadows amongst the walls,
She sees her lost soldier,
And it’s as if she is seeing a ghost
She never knew he would come back to her
Let alone think of her,
 But here he is
Right in front of her,
An unreal feeling the slowly starts to boil up through her chest,
She's scared happy and unexplainable.

Lost in transition she tries to regain herself.
Throwing her arms around him she feels her heart start to melt.
Never thought she’d get that chance.
Is this a dream? Maybe just a pretense?

She closes her eyes and opens them again,
The feeling still at the skin,
The smell of him still flares through her
It’s got to be a dream!
Once again she clash's her eye lashes together
and opens her eyes again and he's gone know where

Waking up from this nightmare
She should have cherished while it lasted
Foolish and selfish
Maybe she’ll get past it
Separated by war
Yet bound by love
So much more they could ask for
being a couple of
the United States Marine Corp.

2011 was the last time that I have been on here. I gave up on writing in 2011, and I think I'm trying to reignite my passion for this hobby. Its the only thing that's cheap for a hobby these days. S.. more..
