Cruelest Word

Cruelest Word

A Poem by Brandon Mathis
"

This style is called Trimeric it's the first one so any citizism is greatly appreciated.

"

Hate is the cruelest word

Underneath my skin I can feel it

You don’t want to hear

 Shut your eyes out

Underneath my skin I can feel it

With my burning finger tips

Blowing the smoke in your face

You don’t want to hear

As you cover your ears

Pointing the finger to blame

Shut your eyes out

The cruelest word has you down

Living in this shame

GAH! I'm so impressed right now! You did this only a matter of minutes and it's exactly the way a Trimeric poem should be! I loved it! I'm so excited now! Truly, I can't wait to see what else you try. You're still letting your emotions out, and letting your voice be heard, in a different poetic form. Very very very well done Brandon! ^_^ I'm so happeh! Ya know what would be awesome? If you made a poetry book. Each poem in a different form, with different words, but all with the same topic. I really believe you could do it, and get it published. Keep it up!

I can't wait to read what else you have for me to read! I could never write something like this. And my poem that everyone likes, The Warrior, took like four months to perfect! The last verse just wouldn't go right... But yours is fab, and I love it.

Smiles are awesome,
:D

I love this poem. It expresses how you feel inside about the world ... something I do a lot in my poems :) Keep it up! I might try to write a poem this way. Never heard of a Trimeric poem ... @ Emiliy White. So much for me to learn!

Okay. :)
I feel like with a couple of different wordings and a chorus that this could be made into a song. This is beautiful, the raw emotion displayed here is touching. great work

No problem at all:)
I truly enjoyed your poem and it was a lesson for me, being I'm generally a novolist and rather new to poetry. I have wrote a few rhyme poems . I thought it was deep and flowed really well. Thanks for sharing.
