lost in Words

I’m just lost in words

To this world that you want me to hurt

Burning boils of my skin

And you think this isn’t a sin

In this world you set to burn

I never thought it would end up like this

 

Can anyone explain?

 All of this pain and misery

You won’t ever change

I don’t want to live in the way

What is your next step?

Is your own regrets

I guess you don’t know anything else to say

 

Father, when are you coming by?

When will you answer my prayers?

My brother has left me to be exiled

Mother gives me that answers’ to my life

To my other brothers you give me the light

Father, when will you be coming by, don’t be shy

 

A hollow man that I can’t understand

You try to cover your ears as I speak the truth

That you have left me so stranded

So abandoned to all of your lies

Every time that I try I don’t get an answer from you

You just she me out with no words to use

 

Brother, will there better a day

Father, will you ever come this way

You see the things that I can’t change

I am abused in this life of chains

You make me scream internally

I am falling apart with-out your love

A person neglected is a person with pain, the last line shouts that out loud. You turn your pain into art and you do so beautifully.

I really like the two first stanzas of the poem, they make me wonder what gives you such pain.
The imagery of burning brings to mind how, sometimes, things need to be destroyed to be able to be built in a better way next time.
