As Another Piece Falls

There are so many things in this world that I don’t know

But I never knew this world was so cold

Everything in me that I could

Is in everything that you should

This world seems to give us that little push

 

Feeling so cold my body going numb

I feel like I’m losing all my time

Going crazy I’m losing my mind

If everything that I do is wrong

Then show me what is right

Before I am completely gone

 

Wash away all my pain

Make me feel like I have a place

In this so cold of a world

Only wants to bring me hurt

Tear me down and leave stripped with this blame

I guess there’s nothing that I can do

When you have all ready dug my grave

The more that I get used

The more that I feel the shame

 

I look to the world outside

This life that I hold onto all so tight

I feel as though there is no more hope

In this world that always seems to be cold

Living in what is to be a shadow

But don’t tell me that this life is over

Because there is a fire that rises on the inside

And I still feel so alive

 

As another piece of me falls apart

This world has left me in tattoos of scars

I’ve done everything all wrong

But I am still carrying myself on

If another piece of me falls off

I know that I just have to be strong

Because I know that this world will never get to my heart
