A Poem by Erica B.
"

Dreaming of a love that we wish would exist.

"

If I could tell you how many times I’ve loved you;

If I could tell you how many times I’ve looked for you in someone you’d probably disown me.

I know I’ve touched you before//if only for a minute.

You’ve kissed me before.

It may have lasted for just a second, but it felt like forever.

Our hands have been fated & I’m just waiting to actually hold you.

No, I haven’t held you.

I’ve pretended to and have said fake “I love you’s..” & “I’ll miss you’s.”

I haven’t actually met you.

But I know when I do (my life);;

I know when I have you, my friends and family will become invisible.

I’ll apologize of course, but I hope they can understand how much weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

"how long I’ve waited for you to remember who I am &//

They’ll have to understand because they’ll see us and aspire to know this bliss.

Unconditional/uncontrollable/inevitable/so divine.

Have I mentioned that I hope for all this to be real.

You & myself.

Us.           Together.

"My heart"

Our                     hearts.

You must be real.

I’ve said I love you so many times.

You.

I guess when you find me"

You’ll know.

I’ll know.

& there will be no space to divide us.

div(i)de.

Infinity                             We are forever

You have conceived the relationship, now go on and birth it.
It’s the law of attraction…
I quite enjoyed reading this piece Erica!
