An All New Girl

A poem I did based on some of my past experiences

Vacant eyes and broken dreams
Torn to pieces and full of shattered melodies

A lost soul with a flicker of hope
Her past hangs over her like a ghost

But she'll find the strength she's always had
And maybe someday it won't seem so bad

One day she'll look her tormentor in the eyes
He'll expect her to beg and maybe cry
Holding her head high daring him to try

He'll see how she is no longer meek
Never again will she be weak

Her inner flame rages to great heights
From now on she'll stand and fight

She has become something he'll never be
Now she shines with radiance for all to see
