Goodbye's Rain

Goodbye's Rain

A Poem by Brandee D. Hack
"

To a still heart.

"

To one still heart that runs

a stream goes shinning through.

The simple heart that might have been

it still beats strong and true.

I never meant to taint the blood

that makes your handes now cold.

I never meant to make your death

a timeless end I am sure.

For what happened before was of someone small and hurt.

And now I have a better sense of what was there before.

The rain pours down like a fountain

a head that's drenched in blood.

I just want to just into the open

to take away the beautiful trust.

The heart combined of two stars

burns bright like a lighthouse.

And now that the house has been broken

I cannot find the shore to climb your hill.

I want to say goodbye

I know it's for the best.

But every time I think these words

my heart beats less and less.

My heart has been torn

yours I'm sure is worse.

For the young and naive cannot prosper

and a end must stop this rain.

I carry an umbrella alone.

I feel I need to share.

The man that once there stood,

Has gone, and now it's bare.

I ask only forgivness

for I was selfish in my own.

The flame that started this lamp

the wind now has blown.

So please forgive me I plead.

I know you are away from me.

But I cry now for my life

and a beautiful friend...

                    I watched him die.

O' What has been his timeless end?

Can I not join his coffin? Assend?
