A sonnet dedicated to equality; abolishment of ignorance.

Today I felt anew

Hatching from a hollow shell

Undoing a bind that kept me in

Renouncing it’s unrelenting power.

Today I felt the warmth

The sun rays like a bath of light

Allowing me to rejoice in it’s splendor

Basking in the joyous rumble of cheers

Today I felt free

The thoughts of yesterday are long behind me

Shaken by the reality of everything

Realizing the ultimate goal

It may be slightly fuzzy,

But it’s going to happen soon; I just know it.
