If Only

The guy I'm madly in love with now knows I am. And I regret not telling him sooner.

I used to wonder what it'd be like if you knew,

And now that you do,

I really regret not telling you sooner.

I guess my insecurity made me a late bloomer.

We're so much closer, so much more of a family,

Why did I ever think this would end in insanity?

Maybe because you're like my best friend

And I didn't want to see the end

Of our knowing stares

And pretending like we didn't care.

Yet now you know and it's not awkward or saddening

I just didn't see this situation happening.

How you found out was an epic fail

But I survived, and now I get to tell the tale.

Sometime we fall for people.Timing can be wrong. Love is the hardest emotion. Need two people on the same road and wanting the same things. I believe relationship should be slow and easy. To make every precious moment worthwhile and not wasted. More Dogs then good people. I like the story and how you ended the poem. A excellent powm.

Aw, I know exactly how you feel. I've had this happen to me plenty of times! :-/ I loved the poem though, it had meaning, feelings, and flow that was awesome! Great write.
