life's tragities

life's tragities

A Poem by Brittney.

As I stood there in the liquor store deciding on which candy to buy,
I heard a big loud gun shot but I thought it was a lie.
I turned around slowly; scared of what'd I see,
Thats when I seen a friend of mine laying on the ground right infront of me;
Blood seeping out of his mouth and back.
As the blood seeped out, it creeped under the hard liquor racks.
His sister and mom then came running in the store,
all I could do was stare at the floor.
They were kneeling there crying not knowing what to do;
I was sitting there feeling that exact same way too!
My friend had not done anything to have this done at all.
Now everyone at his funeral are all ready to ball,
and because this innocent teen,
had been shot and I had seen
I want to break down and cry,
but i'll stand strong and not let anyone see a tear drop from either eye.

About
Hello, I am currently in grade 11 and I am 15 years old. I enjoy writing poetry but I tend to have 'writer's block' very often; it is really hard to write when you have 'writers block' so if you have .. more..
