Am I an actress on the brightly lit stage

Or a patient recovering from a chronic disease

I don't know if this is a role I'm playing or if I'm cured

Is this how I'm supposed to feel?

Rejuvenated, Refreshed

With a new outlook on life

I should be my broken girl self

Who is this?

This girl, I don't know her

She's full of optimistic ideas

And she's looking forward to her future

The things she says, I can't control

The things she feels, I can't place

I don't know if I'm a new girl or just the same with a prettier face

Am I dancing around and laughing while breaking inside

Or am I fixed and unable to adjust?
