Sometimes, people don't even recognise when they're trapped, in danger or faced with an opportunity for potential freedom.

By contrast, the shark relies upon instinct; and different sensory capacities to ourselves.

And yet, "out of the water"; it would be helpless; flounder briefly and then die.

yeah you get it, we are so fixated on fixing our aquarium so that it doesn`t burst, so that we stay in line, stay calm.
But we don`t realize that we are allowed to burst, we are allowed to loose it and become an ocean.

this short sharp jab strikes at the chest. a marvellous metaphor. most people are stuck in fishtanks wanting a better fish tank while ignoring the possibility of something immensely bigger. there is spirtuality in this verse. this idea of abandonig promotion and seeking liberation. really good stuff, and i will definitely read this again.
