I can`t un-love.

there is always your name

carved into my wooden veins.

But I am neither a firefighter

nor a lumberjack,

It would take fire

to forget.

it's a brutal piece. there is so much intense emotion here but they are expressed in such an artful way. there is so much to unpack here, so much to analyze. yet i'd rather not go there and just appreciate this text for what it is. this is a fine work of 21st-century poetry.

His name is still carved into your wooden veins, so perhaps you still miss him so? Good and bad memories, or just good?

Evidently, you seem to have written of that special someone from your past. My "Crystal Sea" poem is one of my ones, about an aspect of love; and I have included others on here - relating to love or passion etc.

I don`t think it is about missing somebody, its more like somebody being a part of your life, of your story without being able to erase it.
there will always be apart of you in me. even if i dont like it
