In a frozen lake

In a frozen lake

A Poem by Bruna Digregorio

Silence creeps
along like the cracks
in a frozen lake,
my soul, my heart
is so full of heaviness

at this hour before the dawn.

Nor mouth had, no nor mind

expressed what heart heard

of ghost guessed.

The prophecy calls

for a pure soul

and you have proved

yourself pure of heart.

Remember,

the engine is the heart

of any car
but the driver

will always Bebe its soul.

Very nice. You did very well with your English. Your poem is very sincere and you conjure up nice images with your words.

Impressive images you paint, in a second language you have little to be sorry for. Beautiful image of a heart like a frozen lake. Engine and soul, working together. Thank you for sharing.
