thiefA Poem by LindseyDthe grammar sucks, but what do you think? The heat of my tears
Permeating the room
Like a slow, but potent poison
Creeping behind and under me
To expel the life from my very being
My heart thumps heavily
And achingly slow.
So slow, the dragging pace alarms me
Stopping, grasping, breathing deeply
I fall to my knees, gasping for air
The darkness slowly stealing,
Thieving my sight, my smile, my joy
My very life and being
