The Seeing Place

The Seeing Place

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

I was thinking about the title being Stage Fright but I didnt think that fit, so I wikied "theatre", and found it derives from the Greek word "theatren" which means the seeing place. Pwn face!

"
when you close your eyes
do you see me in your mind
before you fall asleep
I know my thoughts are on you
when I do the same tonight
as the searchlight finds my memories
and brings them back to life I'll
find some way of preserving what we've lost
an archaeologist of this petrified existence
I wish you'd just listen once
to the voice at the back of your skull
and act on what is best
this may be a theatre show
but stage fight has brought its weapons
an attack that holds me back
