Brothers BeA Poem by Mary E GreenI have seen that gaze before, where, I could not say for sure. A collage of familiar faces in this one glance- too many to know yet I know them all somehow. A sensation that rises your memories from their night's slumber or a voice that has been carried on a passing breeze. That moment- you are deeply rooted in two places at once.
This very gaze has been present throughout the fabric of life, weaving a family's tapestry. A piece of the times that have been and those that are yet to come. It is an expression that is more than just this moment, but still every bit in this moment I am able to see them all. For the day that this glance is no more, nor will I be.
