A Secret Love

The guy that inspired this is treating me badly...It's hard to have something remind me of him. I will most likely take this down soon. I no longer feel this jealousy, but instead hatred against him.

I'm here and gone at all one time...

I want to brag and call him mine...

But he's lost to some other girl...

And truly it makes my head swirl...

It's made me think and wrap my arms...

Around my knees to keep my heart away from harm...

Maybe I expect too much...

But I strive to feel his touch...

I need to see him every day...

It kills me that I cannot say...

The one and only thing that's true...

I swear I'd give my heart to you...

I already have. You haven't noticed, but it's on my face...

And in my eyes I want to chase...

My dreams away but in the end...

It's you I chase but you're my friend.

To love someone who is your best friend is tough... wanting to express your feelings but afraid of ruining what you have... but you will never know without taking a chance and love with a best friend is the greatest... very nice expression of those mixed feelings.
