Waiting For Change

Waiting For Change

A Poem by *!!Cammie!!*
"

My point in this is that you can think two ways; you can tell yourself nothing will change, or you can (like this "earth") break off your wheels and find a new start away from everything fake.

"

The world is just a ball on wheels,

It's stuck on stage so it can't feel,

It can't feel love nor happiness,

So how does it know they exist?

And when the lights are faded down,

The world looks up and all around,

The things around it are lifeless,

Like how the world cannot feel bliss,

The moon hanging on a string,

The plastic trees; they just won't sing,

The ceiling is just painted stars,

It makes the world feel so bizarre,

The cardboard mountains cannot smile,

And like real life they don't go miles,

How do we know that we're moving?

Isn't it something worth proving?

Maybe life just doesn't change,

We're all a part of something strange,

When you look up and you see stars,

Are you sure that they are far?

Its like a world with no spirit...waiting for everything to come back to life.

This poem is like looking at a canvas of fake art, it portrays the real life we live in, and at the same time, offers numerous questions.
I appreciate this poem a great deal, and think you did a beautiful job on it.
