Hmmm, I like what you did here. I've heard the phrase 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree' for years and never thought once about the gravity aspect of it. Obviously I knew it was there but I just kind of accepted it and moved on since it's just a common phrase people say.
It is true though, the people who help shape you do have an enormous impact on your life; sometimes it's biological but sometimes it comes from other sources if biology isn't up to the task. Just because they impact your life, also doesn't mean you have to be exactly like them or like them at all. Their impact may be inevitable, but they don't get to decide who you will be.
Thank you for sharing this. It really got me thinking, clearly since I rambled for a bit.
